I recommand Smile [:)]

1. I stuff my interiors with Cotton Balls. They can be tucked into corners, pulled out loosley to cover more area. Do not try cramming them in there. Cool [8D]

2. If windows are not in place put tape, paper whatever to block the windows openings.

3. Use Elmers glue to tack the doors on. This way you already have most of the openings covered.

4. Like Melgyver says paint before glueing (sp) together. Then touch up the seam.

Thought about masking the windows and glueing them in place, prior to your painting. That is what I did on my Hawk. Just a thought.

Hope this helps

In the April Issue of FSM Paul Boyer built the 1/72 UH-1C and he painted the fuselage exteriors before gluing them together. Then he touched up the seams as needed. Seems like a good way to do a helicopter if you have the doors open and have done a lot of interior detail. You could maybe make some card stock "interior" walls to protect the delicate areas then stuff the tissue paper against that. I've heard of people using white glue to stick the doors on to make a seal to paint the exterior. I would still stuff tissue paper inside just in case.
I have been wondering how I'm going to do my 1/35 UH-1C. Good luck!

Clear Left!

I am working on the acadamy 1/35 scale Pavehawk. The interior is complete and the body is almost together. This is my first aircraft (only ever done armour) and I'm not sure how to proceed with painting the camoflauge scheme on the body without destroying the paint on the interior. I was thinking of using toilet paper and stufing (carefully) it into the window cavities. I don't know if the tissue would pull out any electronics or cockpit paraphanalia when I try to remove it. This is all new to me and a little help would be appreciated. Does any one know of a good way to mask off the interior cockpit and crew areas?

Thanks in advance
