Which is Hipiest?
Posted by Ffowcs on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 4:13 PM
I would like to buy a 1/72nd scale kit of the Mil Mi-8 Hip, which is the most produced chopper in its class with over 11,000 built since 1960 and still being built. It has been exported to over 50 countries. However, back to the model. I find that there are three choices of the Mi-8 in 1/72nd, manufactured by Revell, Kopro and Zvezda. I wonder if anybody reading this has built any one, two or all three of these kits and which one would he / she recommend. All three are close in price. I've been wanting to build a model of the Mi-8 since finding out that it is the world's most built meadium chopper, and second only to one of the Bell family of light choppers. It really is 'hip' then to have a Mi-8.

I think the best one is the one from revell in 1/72 but if you like to go large and also have a good brand and a good kit get the trumpeter in 1/35...I have 2 ups!Big Smile [:D] and they´re great! the only bad part is the price....[:0]
