Crew figures (esp.1:35)
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 9, 2005 4:42 AM
Hello to all,
I know that (part of) this subject has also been covered in another post, but I cannot find it anymore: helicopter crew figures.
I recently bought some 1:35 CMK crew figures to use in the Dragon MD530 Gunship. The figure-parts looked nicely detailed in the box, but tmho turned out to be cr#& when assembling: they seem to be too small compared to the Dragon figures I used before (and that no longer are available??), but what's worse: they cannot be glued with CA or Revell Hobby Glue. I washed them thoroughly with no result (and I already posted this matter on FSM's Tools, Techniques and Tricks forum).

My question: any tips on which figures to use? What are the alternatives besides CMK?
I would also like to know more about crew figures in 1:48.

Thanks in advance,

Gertjan

Here is the other post on available 1/35 helo pilots.

You will find when you read it that the CMK ones aren't that good and don't really represent modern pilots well.

Don't know about 1/48 scale, I only build 1/35.

The best modern figures are Nemrod's; with a little conversion you could backdate them to 80-90's figures.

We should make a sticky topic of this!

I agree, this topic comes up quite often. Any moderators out there listening? If so, making the link in my above post a sticky would be a big help to those looking for 1/35 helo crews.

Thank you!
I know I had read more about the subject, but couldn't remember when or where (the aging brainSad [:(]). The only post I could trace back was about the Dragon figures in the OH6, and I knew there had to be more than just CMK and Dragon.
