Coast Guard Heli...

If 1/48th is what your working in, the above it true. If on the other hand you work in 1/72nd scale, Hawkeye Models from Australia is your next option to convert a Sea Hawk.
I used Hawkeyes to make the HH-60J I did. ( currently at a hobby shop in Long Beach CA. USA). There is a lot of work in either case to make a J-Hawk. Good Luck with either one and, let us see it when your done

As stated, the reason I converted the Italeri SH-60 to A USCG HH-60J using the Cobra Company set is because w/o a complete scratch build that's the only choice in 1:48 that I'm aware of. The Cobra set is of very nice, high quality resin workmanship. Also Hawkeye Models Australia decals were well done too. It was a fun build. Kelly Quirk did a 1:48 HH-60J as well. The USCG used the SEA GUARD the first amphipious helicopter. One engine. The navy wanted two engines so Sikorsky made the bigger version ( two engines but still one gearbox!)
Ringo Toys ( a division of Ideal )made a 1/48 scale kit of the Sea Guard amny years ago. The rivet detail is over done and the decals fit into heavy molded in guides ala Aurora, and the landing gear is for the civilian version but it is do-able.
Both the Revell kit and Trumpeter kits are CG decaled versions of the SA365N, the CG version is the SA366G.
Testor's makes a metal kit of the MH68, prepainted and a bear to put together.
The Jayhawk has to be built as described in FSM.
(Also, the HH52A has been retired from the USCG for quite some time now, the HH65A was the replacement.)

There actually is another kit of the Coast Guard Dauphin: the 1:72 Revell of Germany-kit. Just like the bigger Trumpeter kit it's not exactly the Dolphin type that's being used by the Coast Guard, but if you can step over that, it looks ok.

Btw: the US Coast Guard afaik does NOT use and has not used Sea Kings. They did use the S62 (not S61) in the past (see pic in Heavy Arty's reply) which looks a lot like the Sea King but is actually smaller and has only one engine (Sea King has two) and three rotorblades (Sea King has five). There must have been a very rare S62-kit in the past, but there is none available today.

Only kit of a USCG helo that I know of is the 1/48 Trumpeter HH-65A Dauphin.

You could also get a SH-3H Sea King and get USCG decals for it. USCG uses them as well.


Hasegawa makes one in 1/48.

There is also the MH-68A Stingray, but I don't know of any kits of it either.

Really what I am looking to do is a Heli with the Orange and White sceme. I don't know what Heli types are used as Coast Guard and which ones are kitted...If anyone knows, that would be great...

You may have already seen in FSM October 2005 issue , in the reader gallery section ,a photo of Pete Browns USCG HH-60J Jay hawk . Pete say's he used the Italeri's SH-60B Seahawk and the conversion set from Cobra Company , as Heavy Arty as already said . I guess this may be the best way to go about building one .

Don't believe there is a USCG HH-60J kit available, that is why the one in FSM was a kit-bash to get an HH-60J. The only ones I have seen have been conversions as well. Here are two more conversion/build articles.
