                        Does anyone make an H-37 kit?

                        I was just digging through some OLD Squadron books, and I came across a few pics of the H-37. The pictures got me to Googling for more info on it. Then the thought occured to me about a kit.

                        Nope, nothing in kit form. There is one supposedly in the works, but still no word on when it will be available. I think there used to be a Vacform kit of the Mojave many moons ago as well, but it is long out of production.

                        There was a vacufaorm kit out, put I don't think it's still in production. Again another helo overlooked by model companies

                        Wrong helo. That is a Bell-47, H-13 Souix, of MASH fame, mislabeled on Ebay. The H-37 Mojave was a huge cargo helo and is pictured below.



                        Front clamshell doors (orange portion above) opened to load/unload large cargo.



                        The Bell-47 is well represented in model form with 3 different versions (by 2 different companies) in 1/35, one in 1/48 , and a couple in 1/72 as well.

                        I will actually answer my own question: the April 2001 issue of Fine Scale Modeler has an article on a CH-37, and a very well done one at that.

                        Am I mistaken or did that helo have a couple of big radial "Wasp" type engines in those big outriggers?

                        Sure did, big clould of smoke when they started and they were a maintanance nightmare. The one's we had in Korea were replaced by CH-47's in 1969
