there were civilians descecrating and burning the corpses of those 4 contractors that got ambushed in fallujah way back before we cleaned that dump out.........in my opinion, ROE should say at that point, they are no longer civilians, but are now combatants and should be bombed into dust. There's no grey area there as far as I'm concerned. It's a simple go / no-go on the ROE.

I also think thats a good idea.
The only problem is that our Nation is full of the liberal type that frouns on civy casualtys and more than likley a few of them will be mixed in the crowd and then we have a bunch of crying liberals on the news every evening.Myself,I think if civy's are in the crowd cheering on these sort of things then they deserve to be taken out also.

I'm beginning to grow fond of the "one step further" idea. I've read somewhere that the hulks of the two Blackhawks in Somalia are still where they fell. Has anybody else heard that?

I know I'm new to the forum so I don't want to step on any toes here, but I have been thinking about this scenerio quite a bit, and I wish we as a nation were allowed to "think outside the box" more often......

for instance, in the incident retold in "kiowa down"...the short story is (as I remember it), the kiowa was shot down in tel afar, and they were rescued by the stryker vehicles, but a 4 hour firefight erupted........the firefight was prolonged because the on the scene commander ordered them to get a flatbed truck and retrieve the downed chopper......all under fire. Luckily no one was killed (except bad guys) The reason for retrieving the chopper was that the commander didn't want the chopper on al jazeera the next day with a bunch of ragheads celebrating their propoganda victory........

I totally understand that, but now, what I mean by thinking "out of the box" is......you got UAV's overhead watching everything, and CAS circling as well with 1000 and 2000 lb JDAMS on board......why go thru the potential catastrophe trying to recover the helicopter, when all you gotta do is leave it there......withdrawl, and wait until the ragheads all congregate on the chopper....wait until the al jazeera cameraman get's there and they all start screamin' alla akkbar! alla akkbar! for the camera, and...........BOOM!!!! wipe 'em all out including the chopper with a 2000 pounder live on arab TV.......

I'll take it one further.....we should commence operation towlhead torcher and get us some surplus helicopters, load 'em up with dummys dressed in us fatigues......take two of 'em and go over sammarra or ramadi, or tel afar, or fallujah....wherever we suspect these ragheads are gonna congregate....then take the two choppers under remote control, fly 'em over the site and run 'em into each other in mid air.......make it look like an accident. Then wait for the towlheads and the al jazeera news crews to come to the site.....and BOOM!!!!! walla, a mass wack'em stack 'em.

In my opinion, We should use "bug zapper" tactics like this more and more often.......
