Gentlemen allow me to introduce myself, I am Gunnery Sergeant Charles Mays a CH-53D Airframe Mechanic stationed in Hawaii. I have been working with Chief Owl now for better part of a year to ensure that his product is the finest ever manufactured. Thank you, Mr. Beasley. Indeed it has been a while, nevertheless I am very pleased that work is continuing on the Pave Low. I've never built a resin model before, but once your kit makes the jump from the computer to hard resin, I'll be one of the first to buy it.
Guys, have patience. These things take time and lots of hard work to produce, much like building our models. I do agree that this by no way guarantees that a hard kit will ever be produced, but this is positive progress. My 2 cents [2c]

You missed the whole prior discussion on what Mr. Beasley is referring to. It is not about CAD not being a model, it is about the almost 3 years we have been waiting for a product from Night Flight and that all they have is CAD, nothing more to this point. Hopefully, that will all be changing.

I still believe that CAD does not a model make. Waiting on hard items to look at. The CADs are nice, but just that, Computer Aided Design/Drawings.

Hase been a while...

Finally here are some updates on the 1/35 MH-53M Pave Low IV project:

Before I start, these are renderings of the Pave Low and not photos of a real prototype. I am aware of the opinion from some of the forum members here about renderings. Nevertheless renderings will be made as long as the Pave Low is still undergoing major corrections. This post is not intended as a topic to discuss if it is in fact possible to create real objects from the renderings you see here.

Furthermore I have not spent much time to position the different parts at there exact location on the aircraft. So there are of course differences compared to the real aircraft.

I am leaving tomorrow to an Airbase here in the US to take measurements and reference photos of an H-53. The parts of the aircraft not seen in the images are still in work and need some more reference to be finished. Overall detailing and finishing will be done as well.

Depending on how much correcting is needed pictures of the first 'real' parts may be available in the first months of 2006.

At last I want to thank all of you for your patience. Special thanks goes to all that have helped with reference material. I have not forgotten your contribution to this project.
