1/35 AH-6J Help
Posted by mpmontgomery on Thursday, October 13, 2005 11:51 AM
Has anyone else had fit problems with this kit? I am test fitting the two fuselage halves and I have large gaps between the cockpit bulkhead (the piece the seats attach to) and the fuselage frame. What do you recommend to correct this problem?

Also, does anyone have a good picture of the mini gun from the rear? Either the real aircraft or of the kit. The directions are not clear to me as to where a couple of the peices are actually supposed to attach.

Thanks.

Only fit problems I had were around the rear cabin roof and the transmission area. May be the same problem. If you push the sides in to meet the bulkhead, the top will have a gap. It is easy to fill up with a piece of sheet styrene though, I think I used an 0.30 square to fill the void. Other than that, no issues. Sorry, no pics of the M134 Miniguns. Didn't have any issues with them either.

Hope this helps

I had the gap you are talking about but since it wasn't that big I did nothing about it except putting two pilot figures infront of it.

Besides that the only major fitting problem is the tail, because at the seam line are many raised rivets so sanding is a pain in the a...

Thanks for the info. It helped tremendously. I am glad to hear I wasn't the only one with that particular fit problem.
