Now this is a real oddball...

http://www.boeing.com/history/mdc/graphics/histlarg/hist191b.jpg

I saw footage of this on a documentary called "The Chopper" (produced in the
1970s, great footage of various subjects, No idea who made it) and I'd love to make a model of it.

Here's the clincher...does anyone, anywhere know of any kit in any form of this aircraft?

Apparently the original was, at one point, in the Garber Facility of the NASM in Silver Hill, Maryland (according to an issue of AIR Enthusiast circa 1970s). What happened to it?

Wierd looking, don't know of any kitd, if NASM has it. it's most likely in storage waiting for space to exhibit and restoration as necessary

Hi Zac,

I found a site that list this unique aircraft, along with several others, for future release in resin!! Thumbs Up [tup]

They ALSO have lots of nice looking kits currently available! Anyone with info on Unicraft Models, sing out, as I might be interested in doing business with them! Smile [:)]

***They even have a Boeing XCH-62 listed for future release also!!!!*** Hmmmm... very interesting indeed.... ya'll need to check this site out!!!! Wink [;)]

Good luck,
Take care,
Frank

Hey Frank thanks for that!
Also saw the Bell Model 30...something else from that TV doco I want to see as a kit. Very attractive looking chopper.
And wouldn't that XCH-62 be massive...
And the Sikorsky S-67...my all-time favourite gunship..so elegant
