I have to second that!!! I am glad it will be here soon FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I will leave the Brovo and early Charlie for later and see what after market goddies come out for this beauty

I'm gonna focus on three for now . An (A) model, a GO GO Bird, and a Delta!!!
I sure hope Dragon will soon re release there 1/35 helo crew set!!! They will work well with Nam era HOOKs. When I see them again I'm gonna buy me about a duzzon are maybe two duzzon so then when I need a crew for a new helo I can just open a new box!!! I don't know why Dragon doesn't keep that set in production because it seems all the other figure sets they make do!!!!

Later

It wouldn't be the first time we have had to buy two kits, AM pieces, and other stuff to kitbash what we want. I'm sure AM companies like Cobra Company will help out with some of the needed parts as well. I'm just happy it is finally coming.

Good point,

Maybe they haven't given any thought to anyone making anything other than an A or D. Without inside knowledge of what they plan to market, I submit that any ideas we come up with are pure speculation.

Besides the engine inlet screens being different, there is also the issue of the difference in the sizes of the engine exhausts. T-55-L7C had a shorter exahust than the T-55-L-11s, T-55-L-11ASAs, T-55-L-11 RAM Ds, T-55-L-712s and T-55-L-714s

Hi Papa!!!

I came across that add too. That guy needs to correct the scale goof!!! 1/32, that's just wrong!!! So!!! An (A) kit and a Delta kit. HMMMM!!! I wonder if they will release at the same time. They very well could because Trumpeter has a good record of this with there kits that come in differant virsions. Example, the 1/32 A-10's, Avengers, F4U Corsair's, Mig 21's and there's many others in the list. I want to bring something to you guys attintion. Hear me out hear guys. If in fact there is two HOOK releases than how in the heck will we be able to make a Brovo and early Charlie model with these kits??? The (A) does come with the correct rotor blades and FOD screans for the engines but has the wrong rear rotor pylon and the Delta version does come with the correct rear rotor pylon but has the wrong FOD screans and rotor blades. I wonder if Trumpeter would let you buy these trees sepritly??? That would sure make things a bit more easy!!! What do you guys think about this????

Sounds good. Two more kits to add to the list now. The build review will be interesting. Can't wait.

1/32 Trumpeter CH-47A/D Chinook Preview by “Cousin” Vinny Ibarra on Oct 11 2005

( wrong scale )

--------------------

This is a test shot of Trumpeter’s 1/32 CH-47 Chinook. ( same pics as before ) Trumpeter will release two Chinook kits, a Vietnam War “A” version and a modern “D” version. Trumpeter was kind enough to provide the IPMS-Philippines-Bert Anido a test shot sample for our evaluation. The test shot contains parts for both models. It came in a plastic bag with no instructions and no decals. There are some flash and some parts are warped—note however that this is a test shot and final adjustments will still be made in the mold.

It is big. The fuselage is 18 inches long (with no rotor) and six inches across. I test fitted a 1/35 M151 Jeep and it fits perfectly.

Stay tuned, Mr. Mel Silvestre of our club will build this monster before the market release date of this kit. The club would like to thank Trumpeter Models for this test shot.

[b]Well.....If that is true I gues there will be a lot of us who will be buying both kits? I for one can not wait around for a second release unless they do it at the same time or VERY SOON!!!
