So, do we have a release date yet?? They've GOTTA put this out before the holidays!

We want this helo before x-mas!

Looks good! But there are a few problems.
First, it isn't a CH-47A. The giveaways are the blades, Engine intake screens with the bypass feature, the 'sqaured' off aft pylon and the HF antenna

Second,from the photos it looks like whoever built the kit got the forward and aft rotor blades mixed up. As built the the rotor blades on that kit would rotate in the wrong direction. Also the cross section of the blades suggest a symetrical chord which would be wrong for FRBs

All minor stuff, but it is NOT a CH-47A.

Thanks for the photos, If this is to be their initial release then I will have to preorder a second one.

Definately a Delta and the blades are on backwords too!! Looks to be just an error on the builders part, you can't see it in these photos but in some earlyer photos of this same Hook,you can see that guy glued the top part of the rear ramp in place and has the ramp down. He definitly dosen't know the Hook to well!!!

I preorderd one of these from Hobby link Japan in hopes of getting one before Xmas!!!
They are gonna be availible there next month!! At lease that's what they say!!!

Hey you guys!

Yes that is the D version.

I'm sure that the 'SHOW / display' Hooks that we have seen pics of ....were sent out with the D parts instead of the A.
My source tells me that Trumpeter only made the Fans of the new 1/32 German rocket wait only a few weeks for two different versions....but rarely give options within ONE kit.

I'm sure that this is still slated for 1st qtr 2006 Feb or March. I could be wrong.

Not necessarily. If we were to follow your logic, we would have had the CH-46A, NOT the 'E'.
Why the HH-53E? What happened to the 'A' through 'D'?
So you see, Mark? The 'D' hook may very well be the first to be released and THAT is why you are not seeing the 'A' built up!!

The real Hook has more meat between the canopy and the bottom of the pylon. Its hard to tell......but the middle glass on the Trump hook looks a tad too wide? But like some has said....Cobra may already have a repair for this or is working on it. Cobra Company does have some experience in this area with their HH-60H/J conversion sets (the pilots' door windows are vacuformed). However, vacuforming a new nose is much different than a one square centimeter window.
