Okay, is that decals or are you actually painting the feathers?? Anyways that looks really cool. I have the pics of this bird somewhere in my files and was impressed with it and was thinking about trying to free hand it.

Hand painting in really, really thin washes...that bit of feathering took about 9 hours. Sigh.

WOW........what dedication........I'm very impressed........it looks great so far.

  Hey, thanks all !!!!  I'll post more pics as work progresses...the whole build up is on MM in the forums too, but that can get boring...("and then I glued in part 76c...etc")

   Glad you all like it so far. The thing makes me nervous, like how badly I would hurt the wife's cat if it jumped up on the worktable...yikes.

It is the old standby 48th Monogram Hind kit...still one of the best for the $, in my HO...although I think I might do the next one using a Trumpeter large scale.
