I'll stop being picky...if you have any kit in 1/72 of any MD500/Hughes 500/OH-6/AH-6 that you'd like to swap, please PM or email me as soon as you can. I'd love to get my hands on one.

So, by any chance does someone have a Loach they're wanting to get rid of?

Yeah, but Hugh Mills was active in the modeling community and regularly posted on rec.models.scale newsgroup for quite some time. I last saw him post around the time Cookie Sewell did a review on the new Academy M551A1 Sheridan over the summer. He is still flying for the Kansas City Police Department too. A modeler with photos of his own brightly marked bird makes it easy for manufacturers to decide to produce the markings for that aircraft.

Italeri did three variants of the OH-6, one was the Miss Clawd and the other two were AH-6 and an MH-6 (basically the same kit). Tiny little helicopters.

It is a GREAT little kit!  The only drawback is the final product is less than 4 inches long!  I built one for our museum room back in October and it came out great.  The markings options are a little limited, and as with EVERY Loach kit, it comes with "Miss Clawd IV"  markings.  (Come on people, that wasn't the only, nor the most decorated Loach of the Vietnam War!) In any case, the kit is fantastic, fits well, has great detail, especially for a kit that size and was an altogether fun build!  I think I spent about 8 hours total on it.  I highly recommend it.

Hi K, this one is a fine kit, it comes with the version of the most famous helo observer of the Viet Nam war. This one is in production (sadly the other little one the MD 500 Defender is OOP) and via Squadron goes around $11.00. I havenĀ“t build it yet but is a nice addition to anybody collection.

G'day all

Has anyone built this little helo? How was it? And if you have one in your stash, would you be willing to trade it?

Cheers
