All of the Dragon kits are in this month's Squadron flyer, page 3 lower left corner. The fuselages are about 3.5 inches long. Not very big, but well detailed. Just the stabilator problems need to be addressed.

I didn't know they had these... Post some pics when you're done. How big are they?

Thanks, Mogwa!
This proves my lack in English technical termsWink [;)]!

BTW I checked DML's site and found out that also their 1/144 Pavehawks have the wrong stabilator and both helos (Blackhawk and Pavehawk) have no chaff dispensers!

LOL The "wing on the tail fin" is pronounced "Stabilator" Thumbs Up [tup] Anyway your right, MH type birds generally have the rectangular Stab which folds vertically on either side of the tail pylon while UH type birds have the typical Blackhawk Stab which doesnt fold. The purpose of the fold is to allow for quick prep for Air/Sea transport when the tail pylon gets folded. An MH type Stab can just fold up when folding the pylon, but an UH Stab must be removed to fold the pylon. Thus endeth todays lesson for Blackhawk 101 what every modeller really doesnt need to know : )

I had a glance at those helos on DML's site.
Looking at the sprues it seemed to me that the "wing on the tail fin" is not correct, since it looks like the on used on standard UH-60L.
The ones on MH-60L are rectangular.

Some pics:

This Pavehawk has the same tail section as a MH-60L

And this is a "standard" Blackhawk

Dragon's 1/144 Blackhawk Kits
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 25, 2005 4:43 PM

I do not know if this has been covered yet, but if it has, my appologies. I just got my Dragon 1/144 MH-60L Blackhawk kits today. It is the Task Force Ranger Somalia 1993 version. I do have to say that the kits look great! Delicate recessed panel lines and some detail in the cabin. Anybody have experience with these kits? It can be with any of the Dragon releases since they are very similar.

Thanks!
