                        I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a good BlackHawk helicopter kit in 1/48 scale. If you have any previous experiance with a good kit, let me know please. I looked around a bit, but I couldn't find anything in 1/48. I would like to try my hand at a helicopter, it would complete my air superiority (of unbuilt kitsBig Smile [:D]) Thank you in advance gentleman.

                        From my research, I uncovered 2. Italeri have the MH-60 & Revell do the UH-60. I ended up buying the MH because it suited me better for an Aussie helo. It looks pretty good. Best bet would be to do a bit of backgroumd to see which version you want. I'm not an authority on these things, but my understanding is each helo is corps specific, due to the different requirements. I'm sure there is someone here who can pinpoint those differences better.

                        Thanks Shaun. I'll take a look and see if I can find one. I am hoping to find one with unit markings the Rangers use, but I am sure I can get aftermarket stuff if need be.

                        Any thoughts on the Minicraft helicopters? Sorry if I'm being a pain, I just don't want to spend a lot of money on a kit that is not worth it. Thanks againShy [8)]

                        The Minicraft/Academy 1/48 UH/MH-60 series helos are much better than the Italeri and Revell reboxes.  They are probably the best on the market.  I highly recommend them.

                        Ok, thanks guys, looks like I will be ordering the Minicraft one. I couldn't find any RM or Italeri kits, but if the Mini is that good, I am going to go with that. Thanks for the quick replies.
