I have built one last year; you can see some pics in the Projects section fo my site.

I've built this helo OOB and it still is a treat. Currently it misses the main-rotor due to space issues.

Should you add Eduard's PE kits and Cobra's resin kit you'll get a heck of a helo.

I definitely recommend it.  I have it, but haven't started on it yet.  It looks awesome though.

I might help you with the reference on it... I have couple of great walkarround books on my HD but they are pritty big (like 13 megs or so) so if you find the way to transfer them to you - I would do it.

yep I remember that movie.  I have seen this impressive helo in person back in '98 during an excercise in the wonderful sands of Ft Bliss and fell in love with the beast then.

I have decided for the time being to purchase the kit, but wait on the Eduard pieces since it wont be getting built for a while still.  Plus I will do some research into the exact bird that I want to build and see what stuff from CC I will be needing.  BTW I found a post on pg 22 about this very same thing and printed it out for future reference!!!  Thanks for the response!!

Well, first of all Trumpeters Hind is the only choice if you wanna build big-scale model of it. And yes, like any other model in 1/35 (32) scale it is expensive but it worth it!

What I can tell about the kit? I did not build it yet myself - I am still collecting info (and money )))) but from what I've heard, the kit requires some work (again it depends on detail level you are up to).

I will definitly buy Eduard Big ED for mine aswell as Cobra Co exhausts and chuff despensers (they are not included in the kit). From my point of view - Real Hinds - are the ones that served in Afganistanian during 1979-89...

Its funny how the history repetes itself))))) Remember the 3-rd part of Rambo? Where Stallone was helping talibans and mujahedians to fight russian Hind?)))))))))  I was young when the movie came out and couldn't stop laughing whaching it))))

10 years passed and now it turnes out that american hero #1 - Rambo helped terrorists who are hiding Ben Ladan and producing heroine))))))))))

Questions about the 1/35th Trump MiL-24V....

I have been browsing around Greatmodels.com and noticed that the 1/35 Hind V kit is on sale.  It is still over $80 but was wondering if it is worth the bucks?  I am very tempted to buy it along with the Big Ed aftermarket set for it but that will bring the total over $100!!!Shock [:O]

Has anyone out there built the Trump hind kits? Are they any good?  I have never built a trump model and would love any advice that you guys have..

Thanks!
