Thanks for the heads up on the Cobra detail set, I'll be looking for that.

That's right, deffinately 1/32.  The kit dates back to the late 60' or early 70s so expect a few fit problems, especially where the bottom of the canopy meets the floor.  Cobra still sells their detail set for this flying nightmare and after I get a couple other kits finished, I'm going to build another one that I flew on.

I wish we had one down here.  Can you get a couple pictures of that one?

  Aurora showed a "HUK 'Egg Beater' " in its catalogues of the mid-fifties and sixties. It retailed for the whopping sum of 69 cents (US). Not a lot until I consider the fact that my Dad was making 90 cents an hour.

   The box art showed either a Navy or Marine version in the gloss sea blue finish of the period. I know I must have had the kit, because I bought every kit I could get my hands on in those days. Thank God for the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Pomeroy, the last house on my paper route! They were good for one kit a week in tips.
