Preferably in 1:48.  I flew an ex-Vietnam Dog awhile ago and would love to model it.

Only one out there is the Italeri 1/72 model.

Revell did one in 1/48 many years ago, but it is long out of production and kind of a collector's item.  It came in US and West German versions.  They also had a Westland Wessex British version and a Queen's Flight VIP transport version.

Good luck.

I'd love to see a modern kit of this subject.  It's another important but ignored subject in rotary wing aviation.  Here's a 1:1 model made by Igor Sikorsky, which is sitting at the entrance to Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, NC.

The one I flew was painted in HMM 352 (as I remember) colors--Yankee Lima 42.

I have the Revell UH34-D in 1/48 scale. I want to build the Marines version. Which Humbrol paint color should I use, and should it be flat or satin?.

No idea on the Humbrol paint #, but you may be abale to cross referance these.  For Testors Model Master, you can use either Medium Green, FS# 34102, or Marine Corps Green, no FS#.  Either of these will be perfect.  Dead flat is best as well.

I didn't know there was a kit of this one, I'll have to watch for that.

Is there a kit or after market conversion to make the S-58T turbine powered version?

Cobra Company does an S58T conversion, both in 1:48 and 1:72 scale. Both of them very good.

Thanks, that looks like a decent casting and the price seems quite reasonable for resin. Now I just need to find a couple of those UH34 kits.
