Hi Jon,
I just *squench* my eyes and look at the old Revell 1/32nd G-Model that sits beside the old 1/32nd "Miss Clawd II" on my Model Mantle in the basement. [|D]
I've always wondered why a company like MRC, instead of putting all their proverbial eggs in one basket and running 3 or 4 versions of the same kit, doesn't produce a "Series" line, where the helicopters of a particular era are showcased in matching scales?
A BUNCH of Huey's would have surely perished in Vietnam had it not been for a CH-47 recovering them, and a BUNCH of Chinooks would have perished had it not been for the CH-54 recovering them.... so my question to the model manufactures is; "Why haven't you produced, much less considered, anything other than the UH-1 series to represent the Choppers from the Vietnam era?" The Market is certainly present that would justify the production of a; (1) CH-47A, B, C (2) CH-54A, B (3) AH-1G (4) CH-37 (5) H-23 (6) OH-6 (7) H-34 and (8) H-21, series of 1/35 scale helicopters, instead of EIGHT versions of the UH-1.
Nothing wrong with the UH-1 series, but there were others too, that should be available.
Oh well, doesn't cost a dime to dream, does it?
