Presto,

I heard that, man! There are several varieties I'd love to see made available from that era.

Have you seen the CH-54 in 1/48 scale that French modeler is doing? Check it out.....

You know, a series of Helicopters no ones paid much attention to, but ALL Army helicopter pilots can relate to, are the TH's! There's a 35th H-13 already out, but imagine the market for and TH-55 and TH-23, or the later TH-67!

Practically every ex & current Army Aviator would have one of the type they soloed in, eventually. Seems an untapped market, just like most of the Helicopters flown in Vietnam.

Don't forget the early h-19's.
Can you imagine the size let alone the parts list for a 1/35 - 1/32 skycrane? (ordanance a 10k bomb with daisy cutter fuse)Big Smile [:D]Tongue [:P]
I would snatch up several ah-1g's in today's standards. Tongue [:P]

Dosen't DML make the OH-6 "loach" (Miss Clawd IV) - or is it OOP?Question [?]

Hi Jon,

I just *squench* my eyes and look at the old Revell 1/32nd G-Model that sits beside the old 1/32nd "Miss Clawd II" on my Model Mantle in the basement. [|D]

I've always wondered why a company like MRC, instead of putting all their proverbial eggs in one basket and running 3 or 4 versions of the same kit, doesn't produce a "Series" line, where the helicopters of a particular era are showcased in matching scales?

A BUNCH of Huey's would have surely perished in Vietnam had it not been for a CH-47 recovering them, and a BUNCH of Chinooks would have perished had it not been for the CH-54 recovering them.... so my question to the model manufactures is; "Why haven't you produced, much less considered, anything other than the UH-1 series to represent the Choppers from the Vietnam era?" The Market is certainly present that would justify the production of a; (1) CH-47A, B, C (2) CH-54A, B (3) AH-1G (4) CH-37 (5) H-23 (6) OH-6 (7) H-34 and (8) H-21, series of 1/35 scale helicopters, instead of EIGHT versions of the UH-1.

Nothing wrong with the UH-1 series, but there were others too, that should be available.

Oh well, doesn't cost a dime to dream, does it?

I was doing some thinking earlier about my 1/35 helo wall display and how the CH-47 is gonna look great up there with my short and long cabin Hueys, Loaches/Little Birds, Blackhawks, and even H-13s... and then it dawned on me. MY COBRAS ARE TOO DAMN BIG!!!! Why oh why has not one manufacturer, especially one like MRC (HINT HINT) who has done twin engined Cobras, come out with a 35th scale Cobra???

Ok, I'm calm now... just lamenting....
