Tech Manuals as reference tools

Anyone here use Tech Manuals as reference materials? A friend suggested it to me the other day and I've just gotten hold of a few manuals for the Apache. Turns out he had a point. Lots of good detail shots. Just thought I'd pass the idea on!

Yes, tech manuals are good for reference, but be aware, when I was in the RAF we regularly found mistakes in them!
On complaining through the system, the reply,'It would cost too much to reprint' came back!

Wibhi,

I got em at the Texas Tech Library. The Gov Docs section has the complete set of Apache maintenance manuals and pilots manuals, including checklists. I already own all of the Cobra manuals, but they've got em there too. I don't know if regular public libraries would have any, but its worth a shot.

I'm suprised that one could find such manuals in a College Library. I have access to CH/MH -53 E technical pubs, but I don't think I'd be allowed to share.

Cool....I could always check in the NYCPL. They should have a good gov. doc's section. Thanks

Ridleusmc,

Yeah, I thought that was kinda strange too, but they've got em for most US helicopters, at least the Army ones. Haven't seen any Navy manuals. It helps though, considering I'm aspiring to be an Apache driver, getting a jump on my studying!
