Aftermarket sets for 1/72 Seahawk/Blackhawk?
Posted by echolmberg on Monday, January 16, 2006 12:28 PM

Hello everyone!

I've been asked to build the Italeri 1/72 scale SH-60B Seahawk for the husband of a friend of mine.  I've read a couple of reviews on this kit and they say it's a pretty decent one.  One review, however, said the seats could use some improving.  I think the last time I built a model helicopter was back in 1982 when I was 12 years old!  LOL!  So I was wondering if there are any aftermarket update sets out there for this model which someone could recommend.  The scary part is that the husband's helicopter is/was the exact same one featured on the Italeri box!  No pressure to make this thing look good (tongue in cheek).

Thanks for any hints and tips!

I take it by the lack of responses that the answer is "no".

Just found this post so I did a bit of searching and came up with this. It is designed for the Hasegawa kit so I don't know how much would be useable on the Italeri kit.

http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=ED72378

It is sold out at Hannants but somebody else may stock it.

There is a link to the Eduard online catalogue to let you view the instructions for the set. You will need a PDF reader though.

Hope this helps.

David,

Thank you for the response and the great lead!  I saw that Hannants is sold out so I will try to track it down elsewhere.  I greatly appreciate it!
