Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, January 21, 2006 11:46 PM

Hey gang!!

As most of you probobly know by now,the cargo hook and support beam in the A model Trump Hook is the modern type and totaly wrong for this kit!!   I am wondering is any of you might have some good clear photos of the older type cargo hook that you could share so I could scrach build me a more accurate one for my A model kit when I get me one.

As I recall, the hook itself was the same, it was the beam and attaching hard ware that was different. So what you will need is a photo of the beam and roller assemblys from an A, B or C model.

Hi Mark,

I use to have a picture of the hoist assembly, but I'll be darned if I can locate it now, but I did find a bad exterior shot of a "C" Model that shows some of it.

I'll continue looking...

Take care,

Frank

Excellent shot Frank!

That shows the beam assembly to good effect. Scratch building it shouldn't be to big a deal. The actual hook itself is the same as on the D model with some different mounting and release hardware.

Thanks a million Frank!!!

This is a pretty good pic of the cargo hook!!  I may just use the hook that comes in the kit if it is acurate unough!!  The roller and beam should be a snap  to do!!

Man, I just can't wait for my mail man to hand me one of these kits!!   That's going to be one happy day!!Big Smile [:D]

Thanks!!

make sure you share with the group! Oh and I was reading the new modelers manual and it says that anyone who gets one of the new 1/35 chinooks has to start the build A.S.A.P. and take pictures daily. Far be it from me to tell you guys what do... but... rules are rulesWink [;)]
