a bigger pic would be great, but from what I can see... It looks great.  If it weren't for the background I would have thought that the pic was taken on our flightline.

Thanks my fellow Belleau Woodsman.  I think I solved the pic size problem, posted much larger ones now.  More Phrogs!!!

Did you use Eduards P/E sets or is that out of the box?

WOW! very nice work.....looks right of the carrier deck and ready for action!

Thanks PE-64!  I did use the Eduard interior and exterior sets, which are great.  I was constrained by time to put this kit together.  A buddy of mine who is a Tactical Flight Officer with my department, asked me back in Oct. to put this together for one of our pilots (a Phrog driver) who was recalled in '04 for Iraq.  So I had from Oct until a week ago to put this together and have ready to present at his return party.  Kind of had to cut some corners and some things came out sloppy, but that should straighten out hopefully with more kits I put together (only my 6th kit so far since coming out of childhood retirement).

That is one beautifully built and painted Phrog!  Your attention to detail on this one is most impressive.  You may have set the bar pretty high for the rest of us that have this kit in our stashes.  Thanks for sharing your work with us.

I just saw that preview of the MRC CH-53E.  All I can say is, it's about time!  When it hits the market, I'm clearing off my table!!

If that is cutting corners and sloppy then they must really fly when you have enough time.  That is a nice build.

Heloguy....I have all three Eduard kits and the Cobra Company resin set for this kit...the parts that I can't wait to do are the Rotor pieces.....man that looks crazy! The crew access door looks nice too!

Good work!

Are you state side or Carrier based?

Thanks Papa.  Yeah, the Eduard pieces are great, my favorite being the crew door.  That really adds realism and depth to the kit.  The rotor parts are are also pretty good.  It was tricky working with photo-etched parts for the first time, very delicate!  Good luck with yours, I can't wait to see some progress pics.  How far along is it?  I'm working on a second 46 for my own display, that is until that CH-53E hits the store!Big Smile [:D]
