Arty,
Thats what I like to hear my man! Dont crumble to the pressure of the 48th scale! Remember your roots and don't fall to the darksideEvil [}:)]  The way I figure it, if you switch to 48th your just scared of the all mighty 35th scale helo world!Laugh [(-D]

Jon, Noooo!!! Don't do it man.  You can't leave 1/35 scale helos.  Think of all the accessory parts and the like you have to collect now in 1/48.  Not as much stuff out there in 1/48 as far as figures and accessories either.

One of the reasons I will never switch to 1/48 armor.

Don't forget that MV-22 (AV-22 doesn't count! Wink [;)]), AV-8B and F-35B!

I'm really happy about this release and I hope this means we'll see other variants (D, MH-) down the line.

However, I'm still waiting on that 1:48 HH-3

A 1/48th Hook to go with the upcoming 1/48 Super Stallion?   Where do I sign up?  That's going to be one nice looking flightline if/when I can get them built along with my Phrog...Then I'll need a AH-1Z and the upgraded Huey, the UH-1Y (isn't it?) in 1/48 (as well as 1/35).

Definitely some of that hazard pay will be going into kits when I hit stateside again.  Keep the updates rolling in, gentlemen!

Now this sounds a lot more reasonable!  I think I'm scaling down to 48th guys...

Mainly due to space constraints, but there's a lot more available in 48th.  Since I'm working on the Hasegawa Longbow, I'm convinced that getting back into 48th is the way to go.  A 48th Delta Hook would be fantastic!

WOW!!!   Finally after all this time!!  Sweet!!!

Now we can have a Hook in 1/35  1/72  1/144  and now 1/48.

It's good to know that the fans of these scales can now have a Hook in that collection!!

For those who would like to see a 1/48 D and E,  I feal good about Italeri doing them too!!   When they did there 1/72 line up they started with the GoGo then the D and finally the E.   Sounds pretty good to me.

Now, if Trumpeter would only add the GoGo and 47E to there 1/35 line then I would be the happiest HOOKER on planet Earth!!!Big Smile [:D]

Great news for sure!!!

Enjoy!!

Wow. This is great news. I'll take it with a grain of salt, though, until the release date comes closer. You know how some of those release schedules get delayed. But, definitely good news to look forward to! One hopes a full line of later Hook variants will follow....'D' model, MH, and who knows, maybe even an Air Force HH someday. Thanks for the heads up, Cheif Owl.

(BTW, off topic and all....but some of those other releases look very good too -- is that a new A-10A I see? Or are some of those other kits re-releases or re-boxings??)

Great!  My procrastination is finally going to pay off!  I won't have to scratch build on the old Aurora kit after all.  I guess this is going to knock the bottom out of the high prices it was fetching on E-bay.  First a good "46", a "53 and a "47" on the way!  Too good to be true!

Oh, that's just great!  Just when I setup the built-in bookshelf in my new office to accomodate the 1/35 scale 'Hook, Italeri goes and trots this out. :)

I would have thought quarter-inch scale would have been a popular scale for a helicopter of this size well before now (Aurora's 30 year old kit notwithstanding).
