Progress photos, 1/48th Pave Hawk
Posted by mother31762 on Thursday, February 2, 2006 4:27 PM

Here is one of the latest additions to my Helicopter collection. Italeri’s 148th Pave Hawk using Eduards PE interior set. No.# 49 330, along with some Evergreen plastic. The Pilots had some detail added, and the crew/gunner seat were scratch built. I’ll post more when I get a little further, any comments/ suggestions welcome.

Looking great so far.  One comment, the back of the pilot seats' headrests should be black.  They are part of the chair's outer structure/shell.  The fabric headrest is just on the front side.  Keep the pics coming.  Hope to get started on my 1/35 version soon.  I have to start a 1/35 UH-1V MedEvac bird (using Panda's D model and the Cobra Company detail set)  for a customer first.

Thanks Gino, as for the green head rest I went through my walk around book again, and looking at it closer, and what I thought was green turned out to be small stoage bags attached to the back of the seat, thanks.

Yup, the bags are first aid kits.  You can see them below on my MH-60L DAP.

Look's good. I've thought about trying out that same cockpit detail set if/when I ever build this subject in 1:48.

You're also going to need to add radio/countermeasure controls behind the pilot/co-pilot seats. as well as the control box for the hoist on the right bulkhead. Again, look at Gino's DAP interior for reference.
