This is actually an old ITC kit, but still from the late 1950s. It goes together well out of the box as long as you use some good model making techniques- you'll have to open up various vents and intakes, the canopy will need to be rubbed out, and the spartan interior could use some scratchbuilt or donated parts. You might have to double check on the scale- it could be not quite 1/32, but that's how they did it 50 years ago. A little work in adding details goes a long way on these ancient kits, and at $10.00 US or less, it's pretty cheap entertainment. Glencoe is a one-man operation that has has brought a lot of very interesting old kits back into production. Remember, these are OLD kits. If you're a kid, like a challenge, or want a model of an obscure subject and want to spend a little time and develop some modeling skill in the process, they're great. A more-or-less period modeling book is "How to go Plastic Modeling" by Chris Ellis (1969 or so)- it goes into a lot of detail on how very basic improvements can make Frog and Airfix kits really stand out. My favorite tip is making your own canopies from clear nail polish and a wooden master lubed with margarine... It's a neat looking ship-have fun with it!
