CH-53E reference pictures
Posted by ridleusmc on Sunday, February 5, 2006 9:50 PM

Hey all,

I'm pretty darn excited about Academy's upcoming CH-53E kit in 1/48 scale.  I hope you guys are too.  I've collected some good reference pics that 53E builders may be interested in.   So, you can check them out at

I made my photobucket account public for viewers, but let me know if the link doesn't work.  There are some other pics in there of my models and other misc stuff that you may enjoy.  The account is rated PG in my opinion.

Happy modeling,

Chris

Great photos, Chris. Those will definitely come in handy. I enjoyed all your other project pics, too.
I can't wait until the -53 is released either!! Finally, modern Marine aviation in 1/48th scale will be complete! Muah-ha-ha-ha!!Evil [}:)]

Oh, you know those photos are going to come in handy when the kit rolls out.  Thanks for sharing your expertise with us, I just hope you're ready for the flood of questions that are going to start pouring in as we start to build!
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

I hope these pics really do help with Academy's new kit.  I'll do my best to help with whatever questions anyone has.  Soon I will no longer be around these monsters, but I'll get pictures while I can.  I don't know about Papa-Echo's site, I've never been there.  I'll have to check it out.
