The forward panel on the upper half of the jettisionable door opens inwards and slides back.

And they can be a real b-tch to adjust if you have to replace them, especially if you don't get the upper and lower guide rods adjusted to the right length.

On the Ch47's.....  Do the small side canopy windows open for air flow or what ever?

I know there is a emergency 'punch out' for that whole side area but I mean the smaller angled window.
