I dont think anyone knows of a specific date yet. Rest assured keep watching this forum. We were tracking the 1/35 Hook for well over a year prior to release. Some of our members recieved thiers before they were even offered in the U.S.  Thats dedication and persistance!

I'd love to know when Academy's 1/48 kit comes out.  I have paint, glue and money for that one.  Rumor has it that it's going to be a pricey kit.

Revell of Germany's 1/72 scale CH-53E is the exact same mold as Italeri's kit.  The only difference is the decals and directions.  Italeri has more accurate decals, but neither is completely accurate.  They are pretty basic and allow good opertunity for detailing.  They both lack features like: FLIR balls, cabin interiors, various antennas, missile detectors, rotor head details, etc.

here'a a pic of a couple of my 53's

The small on is made by parts from both revell and italeri, but the big one is made exclusively by parts from Sikorsky

Semper Fi,

Chris

One MRC advertisement said first quarter and because completly built sale demos have popped up on the web as well as pics of the parts layout

I would say soon ....a month or maybe two? They did the first announcement of that kit quit a while ago.

Straighten up and fly right.....
