Thats a great book. I think a crashed 46 would be cool.... maybe a sling load gone wrong! That might give you a chance to build two sepreate subjects and have fun with both!

Sounds like a great idea to me.  You don't really see too many crash dios anywhere.  I think one with a -46 would be pretty cool.  Good luck.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Sounds good to me.  Here is some inspiration for you.  Super 64, by Pablo Roig Sanches at Armorama.

More here.

I have a book titled "Bent and Battered Rotors, Vol. 3". It is a collection of helo crash photos.

We have a show coming up here in Pensacola this fall and I was thinking of a diorama (1/48 Academy) of  one of our birds from HMM-261 when it was shot down in Grenada during a Ranger insertion and then strafed by an AC-130H to keep it out of Cuban hands.

Watcha think? There are not alot of helo dioramas at shows and even less historically accurate trashed ones!
