Thanks for that: about an hour ago, the x-es had disappeared and the pics had appeared, now the x-es are back again, but the links work.

Looking good, John! Great work on the WSPS and balsa Oxygen tanks. Which Medevacs will these be again?

Nice looking start to a great aircraft, Airmed!!

The BK-117 is particularly near & dear to my heart, especially old N686BH (AirCare), which NC Baptist Hospital used back in 1988... the year they picked me up when I crashed my ultralight.     Here's a picture of me standing with the Pilot and Senior Flight Nurse who was on the mission that saved me.

Kit is by Revell of Germany.  They have a few of the BO/MBB/EC/BK models, mostly in European schemes.

Hey Andrew,

 As Gino said, the current BK is the Revell ADAC set which I think is really worth it since the BK kit alone can run anywhere from $30-40 unless you're lucky and get one for around $20-25.  I paid $25-30 for my three. That's including $5 for shipping.  I had my BK's in storage for about 3-5 years.  Picked them up off the net here and there from people looking to sell on forums.  I had one nice guy from the Czech Republic who said his local hobby shop had the HealthNet BK kit and he would pick it up for me if I was interested.  Neadless to say, that blew me away.  I covered him the cost and shipping.  Yah, their are some real nice people out there that'll do stuff like that..

Oh yah, I know Boston MedFlight very well.  Two BKs and a Dauphin.  Their newest BK was painted the silver and blue.  And of course, I have some of their pins. 

Not too many U.S. internet hobby places that have the ADAC set in stock. Just keep looking.  If you find one, I would love to see the build progress.  Keep us (me) posted!

The dry-fit looks great. You nailed that one. You going into mass production?

I only built one Bolkow so far: http://makete.net/galerija/Makete but, though it's revell it still makes me come back. I recently bought two ADAC sets, and a police 135, plus two 145. The BK's: one is planed to be a Westpac ZK-HHV (it captured my heart on the Choppers television show on the Discovery) the other still open to suggestions. One 135 is going to represent the colours of our HEMS helo, one 145 in french securite civile, other on primer colours with a new 5-bladed rotor.

I can really recommend the 145 kit in 1/32. When i bought it i was used to revell style of making models, but this one really exceeded my every expectation. The details are great and they finnaly corrected the windows. Those make very it special all-in-all. A review of 145 and some pics:

I don't know about nailing it. The profile is one thing, the fit is another. I just know I'm pretty close.

As for mass production. I do plan on trying to make some extras to have on hand in that the vacuum-former I have is on consignment and for engineering review. Once I fine tune the tooling, I will run off some extras which will include the external oxygen tank and "possible" a BO-105 CBS extension conversion. I just bought a 1/32 BO-105 and am expecting delivery any day now. I just need to cut the kit and make the profile master proto for the extension. A friend of mine flies a 105CBS for a HEMS service here in the U.S. so he'll be getting the first one. He already got my first set of a Nightsun, EC135 tail fin and EMS interior accessories for his 105 & 135 build.

Speaking of Bolkow, nice work!!! You sure know what you're doing. Even the little OH-6A. Nice dio too.

I've been a loooong time Revell fan of their 1/32 helicopters since I was a youngster. Believe me, I'm looking forward to doing the 145 one of these days. I've been corresponding with our local Medevac program hoping one day they'll upgrade to a 145. I have two more 135's waiting to be built. One as our other HEMS; "STAT Medevac 8". The other 135 I have yet to decide.

My next three planed projects will be the 145 and in 1/48th, the EC 350 Astar and 365N Dauphin. Yeap, both as our other local HEMS. Med Flight 6 and St. Vincent Life Flight 3.

That 5-bladed 145 looks pretty impressive.  I'm sure that'll give it more lift.

A few more dry-fits and it'll be perfect. I never used vacuum-former, so its putty and plastic for me.

I stil have two Bolkows to build, bow that i got the hang of it. One is going to be the first ADAC helo, other probalby a privately owned and saddly crashed helo.

Thank you for your words on my work! That bolkow took me a while to built, but in the end it's very rewarding to look at it. Most of other helos were gifts to my friends.

I am all in all an eurocopter fan, no wonder almost all of my models waiting in line are revell EC's. Ironic... i fly agusta bell's, not one EC in sight. I also have an apache, kiowa and a blackhawk to build, all in 1/35. Those are just things that i had to have, so darn mean looking.

Hope to see more of those eurocopters of yours soon.
