                        I've given up on an AS.355. The only AS.365 model I can grab ahold of is the Revell US Coast Guard one. It's got the requisite hoist and whatnot for the Irish version I wish to model, but unfortunately it comes with the shorter radar nose, not suitable for the long-nosed variant that the Irish bought. i.e how to get from the top side view to the bottom side view?

                        Assuming no conversion kits, I'm open to suggestions on how to make the radome from scratch.

                        In 72nd scale that shouldn't be too hard. You can build up putty or find a part from the spares to use as the  base as you fair it into the nose.
                        Look for bigger scale items to use also. Good Luck.

                        Duarte of Brazil make a resin nose in 1/72 for this version but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find.

                        The link below is to an IAC Dauphin conversion from the Matchbox kit - you could try contacting the modeller for his advice on how he did it.

                        Speaking of which, the Dauphin is being phased out of Irish service this year to be replaced by the EC-135 in the troop carrying/Medevac role. SAR is now handled by Irish Coastguard S-61's
