THANKS Guys!......about 40% of it is scratch.  Its G.I. Joe size! ... 1/6th scale ALL RESIN kit.

The biggest problem is they have not made new molds from the masters and many parts were very difficult to work with or not usable at all.  Its the heaviest kit I have ever built.

The kit had an extra 'light % Motor' kit that is 300.00 bucks! Shock [:O]....I said NO WAY!!....so with some help from a buddy in a local Model club we built two small circuit boards that fit inside that control box....evrything else was pretty easy....The kit also called for the 'disc' to be turned by a motor with a shaft sticking out the back lower section of the 'Time generator' ....I figured I can do better than that, so with some parts and gears from verious toys and things I built a 45 degree worm gear set up just like in the movie prop......( they used a bar bee Q spit motor ) The main 'disc' comes off for accsess to the 6V battery pack through a removable door....NO AC transformer needed!

I needed clear parts so I dremeled out the thick and solid resin parts and found a perfect frosted looking material for the caps and used ....believe it or not RENUZIT air freshioner caps for the cones...they were the SAME size and and where off white. All the gears where drilled so a small rods runs through the gear and shafts...no way was I going to take any chances!

I'm just glad I'm almost done! I'm getting very tired of year long projects! but with a full time job and kids its not easy to get 'GOOD' quality model time in.

Here is one other that has won prizes in National Model Contests: http://troysmodels.homestead.com/SPINDRIFT.html

I always thought you were a little mad for liking the hook, but after seeing that time machine I really believe you are an evil genious.
"wow" is about all I can say.
(I'll bet your hook will be able to hover!)

Don

I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

Does Papa build helo kits????.....what gives?!

Well this is what I have been doing for the last 10 months and I might be done by this weekend!!....you know what that means?.......HOOKER TIME!!!!!.....well a 1/35 CH47-A that is.

Here is a link  http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?p=1415442#post1415442

Its the Time Machine from the 1960 George Pal film.....I did all the custom electronics, lighting, motor and worm gears and yep! the lever really does control the lights and the disc RPMs....the lights flash in sequence to the day, month and year and speed up with the dics when you push the lever or 'key' up.

Enjoy!
