Possibly the best panel line wash technique for you to start with is one called the 'sludge-wash'. This is made by mixing powdered pastel chalk with a small quantity of water and a drop or two of liquid dish-washing soap. Apply over a glossy finish and allow to dry about 75%. Don't worry about being neat - you'll wipe the excess off with a damp rag. Once the stuff has dried sufficiently (judgement call) wipe it off with a damp rag; work in the direction of airflow on the horizontal surfaces, and up/down on vertical surfaces. If there is a big foul-up, you ca just wash it all off and start over.

I am getting back into the swing of modeling after breaking my back last month. Having all this time at home affords me plenty of spare time.Big Smile [:D] I will have many bacic questions and am sure the FSM community can help.

First question: What is a good basic "wash" for panel lines? What is the most user friendly.
