Keith,

They've got the MRC Hawk and Trumpeter Hook in the Mini Mall.

Thanks a bunch guys! I had meant to ask if it was a rebox too, but forgot toConfused [%-)], but I guess I'm off to the PX.

Thanks again,

Yup, it is a reboxing of the Academy kit.  It is equally as good and builds up nicely.  For extra detail, the Cobra Company sets are great for it as well.  Eduard also does an interior and exterior PE set.  It will build up nicely straight OOB though.

One caution with the Italeri boxing, the decals are too small.  They are something like 10% too small.  You can see it most on the large, black walkway areas that go on the top of the fuselage and ESSS stubs.  They don't fill the areas outlined.  Not sure what happened, but Academy's decals were correct.

Also, straight out of the box, they build into a UH-60A with HIRSS, not a correct L.  L has wider step sponsons (where the wheels attach below the pilots doors) by 10" to accomidate a roll stabiliser bar, which are not depicted in the kit.  Cobra Company does make corrected sponsons in their UH-60L correction set though.

Here are a couple that I have built up.

I just got that kit myself, at the PX as well.  I think that it has a good amount of detail, looks fairly accurate as well.  It has decals for a UH-60A from ops in Somolia,  a KFOR UH-60L, and an Israeli bird.  As far as I can tell, it looks like a reboxing of the Academy kit, but I am not totally sure.

Great looking kit for the price, you will pay around $60 on the net for the same kit!

Hello all,

Any comments, suggestions, buy it or burn it would be helpful. They have several on the shelf at the Post Exchange for a reasonable price for a 1/35 scale helo and was wondering if I should pick one up or not.

Thanks in advance,

Keith
