Hi again pharoah,
Sorry to hear about your back! My back got messed up in 1988 when I crashed in an ultralight, along with my feet/ankles. This spawned my reconnection with modeling and art, which I continue to embrace, but motivation isn't always as it use to be.
Have several models about halfway done, then say I'll finish them some other day... now all those *other day* projects are piling up on me! Doing a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo now, building it as Bobby Allison's "Coke Machine", after an accurate set of decals have finally been produced!
Oh yeah, back to the point..... I don't know how you feel about Vacuform kits, but you can get a 1/48 Chinook right now from the following business:

I've never seen one up close, but have been told they seem to have been molded from the old Aurora kit.
