An interesting (maybe useful) CH-47 detail?

Hey fellas,

Now here's an intersting feature of at least one Chinook with the 147th Hillclimbers (Vung Tau '68)!   An ENCLOSED aft cabin wall!

Hmmmm....  one could make an accurate addition to the 'sparse' cabin wall on the Trump kit? Thumbs Up [tup]

I'll try to find out what aircraft this was on...

Take care,Smile [:)]

Nice pic....looks like one of those 'good times'

Hey Frank....what about that 'step here' pattern on top of hooks......1 Did they always keep it marked, and was it sometimes solid and not a stripe pattern?

Thanks!

Troy :-)

Straighten up and fly right.....

Hi Troy,

Every "A" model that I ever came across had the "striped" pattern walkways.... here's some random examples:

(on a "B" model)

(some had flat black anti-exhaust stain painted on the aft lateral area)

Hope this helps,

Frank

Hi all!!

I made me some of those stripe walkways for my hook using my printer/copier/scanner.

They look great and I printed me a copy of them on my clear decal paper.  They will look nice on my Hook when I get that for down the road which is still a ways off.     If any of you would like to see them or would like to have a copy of them I will be glad to print you out a copy at no cost.

Just send me an email.

Mark
