Avus,

No sweat buddy!  I was just "funning with you".  It will be quite awhile before I get back into regular serious model building.  This week home it's, taxes, caring for the father-in-law, preparing for the 174th AHC Reunion and all the other regular "stuff".  The largest item I ever tried resin casting was 1/48 seats out of P-51's.  I'm amazed at your efforts!

I don't ask for money, I trade for other things, mainly model parts. Send me a mail or a private message since I'm afraid that trading is not allowed on the forum.

How about just trying to mold the center scratch built section instead of the whole thing.  That is a heck of big complex chunk of plastic to be trying to make a resin copy.  Good luck!

Thanks for the hint. I was thinking to do so.
The beams going long-side are I-beams, so I guess I'll have to remove the traverse section.

Let's say I try to make resin copies and I trade the ones that turn out good.

Did you cut off the middle part of the roof or did you put the new roof over the kit's roof?

The first one: cut away the middle section and add the new roof.

BTW I aded the lights over the gunners' windows and the intercom. I'll try to post some pics as soon as I get home.

I got inspired by intruder_bass' work and with his help made one, too.
Here are some pics:

After I completed my work I was told that it is more frequent to have helos with sound proofing on than off, even in the SOF-business.

To answer your question: no, there are no aftermarket products available ... yet.

Last week end I tried to make a resin copy which turned out a mess I'll try to post some pics of the disaster shortly. Fortunately the original only needs some minor touch ups.
Guess I'll have to figure another way to make the mold.

Thanks Gino :-)

ANDREKID,  I dont know what to add more to what HeavyArty already said....

just couple of pics of my BH roof:

and a simple plan "how to build BH roof" with dimentions in mm

Of course its not perfect and you might need to spend some time on it to fit your BH but at least its something.... not a flat panel from the kit. Also if you noticed the ceiling I did is only half opened from soundproof panels, just like on BH, I used as a prototype for my model. If you wanna build the whole ceiling I would suggest you to check ARC helo forum. Not long time ago I've seen one guy (sorry dont remember his name) was building the whole thing...

Glad you took my advice and posted at FSM.  As I answered at Armorama, there is no resin kit of it.  A few members here, namely Intruder_Bass and Avus, have super-detailed it out though.  They will probably answer up soon.

Also, as I answered at Armorama, the roof is usually covered by soundproofing and looks pretty bare, with the exception of the pan under the tranny. Eduard's PE set for them includes a PE piece for this as well.

Anyone known any 1/35 resin kit of MH-60's cabin roof?
I'm modelling a 1/35 mh-60 and I saw photos and kit's cabin roof is poorly detail.
