A big Hind in need of help.
Posted by Darr on Thursday, April 6, 2006 10:36 PM

Hello,

I am starting Trumpeters 1/35 Hind Gunship and I would appreciate any info on web sites or books that would provide good pics. of this awesome gunship. I had built it in 1/48 several years ago and I'm looking forward to increasing the detail, the kit offers numerous weapon options and a complete engine. Any help you could offer I would greatly appreciate.

Keep supporting you local hobby shops, we need you as much as you need us.

Again, thanks fellas.

Hi there,

Totaly agree with you, Hind IS an awesome aircraft.

and Trumpeter kit is very impressive-looking model of the Crocodile, but for extradetailing it still requires a lot of work. There are several reference books availible on market. I myself prefer the following two...

The best Hind book I've ever seen! A must have!

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/193060713X.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

and another very good one...

Also you can easily find Squadrone walkarounds, but from my point of view Lock On is much more helpfull.

Good luck

Andy

I used the Big Ed detail set, the controls for the cockpit really looked neat, I have it ready to finish paint, but finally got the Trumpeter BR-52 so it was put off to the side, the kit went toghter pretty good, the engines lack detail, I spent 2 days on the internet reaserching before I started I was able to find good pictures to work off of. It was a pleasure to build, and there is enough wepons to use when I build Trumpeters Hip and Hound. I do not have pictures to send the kit is packed away I am relocating across country.

I would suggest the "lock on" book as mentioned and Cobra Company has a fantastic upgrade set. Well worth the money.
