Posted by DAVEY5 on Saturday, April 15, 2006 12:18 AM

I couldn't be in a better place to ask ,If the rumor about a 1/72 S-76 model being released

this year is true. If this is true , where can we get the information about it ?We can't wait to get

our hands on the Academy 53 E.This should be a great  kit.

                                              Thanks for the time

Hi,

The key word here is "rumor"  This has been going on for years now. (2000) and here we are in 2006.  Been lot's of reports that it would be relaeased for 2001, 2002, 2003, blah, blah, blah.  The only thing showing for it is the artwork.  Who knows?  Then a rumor (last year) that Revell Germany is planning to be releasing one this year.  Well, they informed me, via. email, that their were no such plans.  Truth?  Denial? Secret?  Don't know.  Recently reported over on Helikit News; some company w/ four initials has it listed under the same part number as AW that was going to release it.  We're just going to have to sit, wait and watch.

I'm currently working on a defunct 1/72 HKCW Sikorsky S-76 resin kit.  I do hope the new kit, if there is ever one, will be better than this one.  The HKCW kit is a nightmare.  I'm rooting for Revell myself.  As for AW.  I'm waiting.  I kept my word.  I hope to have my 76 finished soon.  Just applied some color to it today.  I prefer 1/32!!! ;-)

Cheers

Lets keep our fingers crossed.
