As far as the real helo goes John basically covered it.

I presume you're talking about Panda's model. This model is said to be an enlargement of Italeri's 1/72 UH-1N with all it's flaws and on top oversized parts (due to the magnification); rivets are the most evident oversized part.
But since it's curently the only 1/35 Twin Huey it's the best you can get.

The USAF acquired their N models in Oct, 1970 and I think served in Vietnam with the 20th SOS. The US Navy and Marine Corps did not acquired theirs until 1973 and may have seen limited use during the evacuation of Siagon.

Hey all just looking for info on this kit and the actuall helo itself, have found heaps of stuff on it but nothing really exciting or informitive. Did they use these helos in Vietnam or did they come along after the war? I was looking to build it from that era if not i will have to settle for a more up to date version!!

Any info on this kit or helo would be appreciated?

Thanks

Robert
