I still have the old Airwolf I built in the 80s and the HobbyCraft Bell 222 I bought about 10 years ago to rebuild the kit. The Bell kit contained many pieces that made the Airwolf the Airwolf, but I have to reuse the side pieces.

Correct me if I'm speaking incorrectly, but if you buy a Bell 222 kit - the AIRWOLF components are already on the sprues?  What kit is that?

Please respond to TCONNELL@stpaultravelers.com ... thank you.

Last time I offered to sell an Airwolf kit to someone on the Forum I guess I insulted them because I never heard from them again.  It was cheap too!  Less than $15.  So now I'll just hang on to my stuff and be selfish!  Ha, ha!  I'll open up Melgyver's Hanger # 3 when I retire and sell my stash to the "locals".  Good luck finding one!  If you don't E-mail me and we can talk Bell 222!  I get to fly on Bell 430's every now and then, wish they would make a kit of it!  All "glass" instrument panel.  Like watching a computer screen.  Used to let us ride left front seat, but rarely since "911".   Fly on S-76s mainly and would like a good 1/48th kit of it too.  One of these days maybe.

Clear Left!

Hi,

There's currently an airwolf in 1/48 scale on sale on Ebay at present. It's £14.99 plus postage probably around $28.00.

I have two kits of the Airwolf, both unbuilt. I was intending to do one of them as Airwolf II (Red Wolf), but since it's just basically a Bell 222 with red trim, I decided to pass on that. Anyways, they've been in storage since I bought them when they first came out. If you want one, let me know.

I was lucky, I picked up the CHP 222 on ebay a while ago for only $13.  It did not come with Airwolf parts, but I didnt want to do airwolf anyway.  I prefer BlueThunder.

I actually bought a bell 222 that came with airwolf components, unfortunelty during our moving out to a new house it was crushed by a pallet, and then ran over by the forklift, I think I might have cried lol.

Good luck.  Because of ebay, everyone will want to gouge you.  I've been looking for simple 222 kits, AMT Highway Patrol 222, and the Hobbycraft 222 kit, everyone wants way too much money.  I think they include the airwolf parts, not sure.  Doesn't matter "how old", or  "it goes for" and all that blah, blah, blah excuse to suit their reasoning.  It just boiles down to how foolish one is willing to over-pay for something.  In that case, I say, more power to the seller.  I wish I had one to sell on ebay.  You just gotta be at the right place at the right time.  Keep pluging and looking.  You never know.  Good luck.

Cheers,
