Badger Masking Tape
Posted by AirMedical on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 3:23 PM
Anyone ever use the Badger masking tapes?  We don't have any hobby shops (what's left of them) in my area (NE Ohio) that sell the Tamiya tapes which is what I would prefer to try.  But I know the local auto shop carries a nice variety of Badger masking tapes from fine to wide and papers.  Anyone?

TIA
John

Out of all the hobby places in my area, only one carried the Tamiya Tape.  I had to truck a ways to get it but it was worth it.  Hope to do some masking this weekend.  Weather is looking fine and it's a holiday weekend!!!

I still would like to know about the Badger tapes.   For those times if I'm in a pinch.

Cheers,

I use only Tamiya, and i had only one mishap. After 5 coats of future and left for 10 days drying on a tomcat canopy, i masked the thing to spray the whole aircraft, and that darn tape left marks on the canopy.

Otherwise, tamiya rocks!

Well, out of everything I've heard hear and a few other forums, no other tapes is spoken so highly of so I just had to try and find it.  I had to truck about 30 minutes out to get it and by the time I figured cost and gas, it would be about the same as if I would have to order it on line and shipping.  But I wouldn't have to wait about a week, week and a half for it to arrive!

Cheers,
