Thank you for your explanations! There fire panels are new to me, never saw one on bell's or agusta's. So, there is probalby not so much to see through them? I'm not going to make an open engine. I only want to build what can be seen through that hole.

The "Fire Access" opening is where you put your fire extinguisher nozzle and then pull the trigger to fire it. These openings appear around engines/fuel pumps/oil tanks on helos and other aircraft to give fire crews a good chance of putting out a fire inside WITHOUT having to open any of the panels.  As you would know, opening a panel will let more oxygen into the seat of the fire and hence make it worse.

As for the chrome rod, I think it may be to allow the fire crew to open the panel AFTER they have put the fire out. Hope this helps.

Are there any photos available capturing some glimps of the engine compartment? I've been searching the web, and no resoults. If not, any GE CT7-6 than?

How are the engines numbered? From left to right 1-3 or is the central engine nr. 3?

I' ve been wondering about these "intake" holes labeled "Fire Access" What are they for? Is that chrome stick inside a grip handle or something? These are located on every engine, on the side and on the top side.

While you are at it, what are these "another exhaust tubes" linked to the main chimney?
