To my knowledge there is only one 1/48 kit produced of the Seaking. It was made by Hasegawa but is now also produced by Revell after they leased the moulds. This kit is for the American version so it may be correct or not depending on which country you want to represent.

If you want the American version it is ok but the Uk, Australian and others all require changes to it eg the Australian version requires wondows to be moved and different sponsons for starters. Which country do you want to do?

Thanks Chris, I was really hoping to find a version that I can build it without the MAD gear.  It appears I may have to do it the hard way.

Eduard makes a PE set for it which has a replacement upper & lower fwd cabin door, with replacement steps for the lower door,  several intake screens, a replacement aft conical section for the towed MAD bird, & some other stuff I can't remember.

I've never built either one, but Hasegawa and Revell both make 1/48 scale Sea Kings.

I am looking for a large scale Sea King helicopter, any recommendations.  Is there any after market kits for it.
