1/35 UH-1N Progress Pics
Posted by wooty on Saturday, June 24, 2006 1:32 AM

Hello All

Here are some progress pics of my 1/35 UH-1N USMC. I am aiming to get a real dirty and old look so i used Tamiya Weathering Master and oils to sofar dirty it up. It also has CC Fleet upgrade and CC Weapons detail sets on it with a scratchedbuilt roof inside aswell. Sorry the pics are not reall good quality but should heave some better ones up soon. Decals are a mixture of custom and kit.

It should look good beside my three M1A1HAs and a AH-1W.

Nice Job.  I really like the detail of the interior.  I have just finished a    UH-1C  Vietnam era gunship.  I am still in the progress of getting my pics up but I will send them to you once I get them up.Big Smile [:D]

Thanks Fellas

Will get some close ups when finished.

I forgot to add i am also putting  a few stowage items in there aswell just to busy up the cabin a little. The stowage is from Legends and there are heaps of things to chose from to put in there but any ideas on what you would normally see inside a Huey in Iraq?

Thanks Again

2 or 3 water cans strapped to the floor, extra ammo cans for the .50 cal, M4 carbines for the pilots and crew, a helmet bag or two (for miscellaneous pilot gear), and maybe an Alice pack for the crew chief.

A great build so far! Can't wait for more photos.

PS: I just can't stand a model so frequent, being so far from the real thing, as far as the exterior goes. :(

Don't fully understand the above.

All manufacturers of this and 412 helo are making a few mistakes.

The nose is to long and pointed upwards, the dog house has too much edges, it is suppose to be more rounder... stuff like that. It is one of the most common helos out there, and still, the manufacturers got it wrong. Just like jetranger. There isn't one plastic model a like, all with errors, none like the real thing.

Anyway, you made a great model despite all of the above.

Ahhh Now i understand!

Yeah for such a well known aircraft it is pretty scarce to find one just right.

Academy do a few kits that come pretty close.

Thanks Again
