1/700 HTL-4 available?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 25, 2006 11:06 AM
Gang, I'm in the process of building a 1/700 icebreaker (the Northwind) circa 1965. I've got the Loose Cannon version, but that's circa 1945--when new. My Father-in-law was on the '65 cruise, so I've got to update it a bit.

I've found some good reference material on that particular ship, and what changes it went through. One of the largest was deleting the seaplane and adding a helo deck--a couple of HTL-4s (I think) were on there. So, does anyone make a 1/700 scale HTL-4 or similar (a Sioux would be fine, I can put floats on it--I just need the bubbletop and the open tailboom)?

Either separate, or maybe included in a 1/700 ship kit?

Also, anyone know what the exact landing craft they had would be? Look like just a generic motorboat, but I'd like to make sure.

One final question--for storage in the hangar, did the rotors fold? I'd like one stored, and one on the flight deck.

Thanks,
Dan

White Ensign makes a Bell 47, so I've got it covered.
