Thoughts and prayers with the families and units.
I know what a trying thing it is to know that a crew is down but not know the details.
In 2003 just after we crossed the border into Iraq a sister squadron lost a bird and they would not release the sqd. name or the crew info, yet it was all over the news. My wife went crazy till I was able to call home. (then I got my *** chewed in a loving sort of way for not calling quicker, seems she forgot we were dodging bullets in An Nasariyah) All they would say was that it was a USMC CH-46. Which narrowed it down to a half dozen sqaudrons and a hundred possible crewmembers. We all know what it is like to wonder if we know the crew, but sometimes I think we don't remember the families as much as we should.
