i have one piece of advice. don't mix thinner in your dullcote. i found that one out the hard way.

Should be no issues overcoating it all with Testors Dullcote.  Also, thinning it isn't an issue as long as you don't put the coats on thickly, ie. dripping and running.  A couple thin coats of the Dullcote will do just fine and not affect the decals.

     Ummm.... you'd better mask the clear pieces before applying the dullcoat or you'll end up with a 1/35 Super 64 with that "frosted glass" look!

Sounds like if i take my time it will turn out alright. Curtis and Gino about the thinning what would be suitable to thin dullcote with?
Also Gino the decals are a mixture of kit and custom ( Avus and Yours) with a few little changes frfom me!!!.
Frank i was thinking about that last night and it is already masked, Taking every procaution with this one.

Yup, you always have to mask the glass.  For thinning, I use straight lacquer thinner.  No set ratio either, just thin it so it is about the consistency of milk.
