UH-1E Pics

Hello all,

It's been a while, but I have finished another helo.  I tried to duplicate a UH-1E as much as possible, using the Academy 1/35th "C" model.  Eduard interior and exterior added nice detail.  This was a tough build, the fit was awful, had to do a lot of shaving to allow the halves to come together.  This aircraft represents an E mod from Marble Mountain Air Facility '69-'70 of HML-167.  I made another identical to this one, only difference being the display of the other is customized for enlisted aircrew, with an enlisted EGA and Combat Aircrew Badge.  I made these to donate to the Marine Combat Helicopter Crewman ("popasmoke" )Association to be auctioned for charity during their reunion this week in Dallas.  Dad flew this in Vietnam with 167.

I want to say thanks again to Steve, who responded to my thread ref a need for a custom decal very fast.  The nose art checkerboard was done by Steve, very nicely, so thanks again my friend!  Give him a try, I was pleased.  I am sure your part will bring appreciation to many deserving Vets. It was important to me to customize these helos to authentically duplicate the ones they flew in Vietnam.
